| Religion is defined in many ways. No one | | | | who think as you do is comforting. Most |

| except perhaps this one--religion is one's | | | | think like they do. It is often a needed, |
| beliefs. But that really does not tell you | | | | reassuring tradition for many people to go to |
| much, so I will list several | | | | a place of worship once a week or more. In |

| self-improvement-Religion is a belief in a | | | | people with the same religious heritage as |
| higher power-Religion promotes directions fo | | | | you. It is comforting to be with and talk to |
| achieving happiness-Religion teaches | | | | like-minded individuals.All forms of |
| morality-Religion explains man to | | | | religions offer some type of moral education |
| man-Religion helps explain tragedies-Religion | | | | or rules for behavior...a basic moral code, |
| defines relationships between people and the | | | | like the Golden Rule. The opportunity to |
| rest of the universe-Religion defines | | | | make the wrong choice is always there but the |
| relationships between people and the creator | | | | presence of religion will hopefully make the |

| definitions. Religion probably has a | | | | easier. Lots of people have difficulty |
| different meaning for everyone. Religion is | | | | defining what to do or what not to do; |
| the belief in something beyond the physical | | | | religion can help with this. Some people |

| find a peaceful life amidst a world of | | | | religions send out the message of love and |
| chaos.Religion offers a community of fellow | | | | compassion. The ways those messages are sent |
| believers who think about some things in a | | | | out are a little different, but they all |
| similar manner. To be surrounded by people | | | | basically say the same thing...Be Nice! |
